LEVEL 2 –
Much like a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), it passes Alternating
Current to the vehicle’s onboard charger, which is unique to every model/
manufacturer and converts it from Alternating to Direct Current.
Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) –
Direct Current power bypasses the onboard charger and goes directly in the battery increasing the acceptance rate. This, along with higher power, enables vehicles to charge faster.
